Who Can Complain About Another WarCraft?

Blizzard's favorite press release line, "We'll release it when we're finished" has never had more meaning than before. World of WarCraft, probably the biggest project the company has taken on, promises to deliver the world of Azeroth to inhabitants of this virtual civilization. It has all the makings of a great MMORPG, and Blizzard is known best for delivering solid games, so all we can do is wait.

What was special about this E3 was the debut of the fifth playable race, the Night Elves. These mystical creatures were the first to wield magic and unleash it upon the world thousands of years before the original WarCraft occurred. Several unique modes of transportation are included in the game as well, and should be familiar to regulars of the franchise. Horses, Zeppelins, Gryphons, and wolves are all available for players to use.

The control scheme is something similar to that of Diablo, what with the inventory and spell system looking almost identical. Attacking is as easy as the click of a button, and you can move your character around during combat. Despite it all being set in a WarCraft motif, there doesn't seem to be any one thing that really breaks the mold of the MMORPG. But whatever comes packaged in that box upon its release, you can bet your bottom dollar that it will look stunning, have plenty of depth, and probably be one of the more solid MMORPG's out there. Only time will tell, and all we can do is wait.
