Have you ever wanted to be a hero? To live the types of lives that have only been seen on TV and comic books? Well, NCSoft has just the city for you. Paragon City, once the beacon of hope in America, has been engulfed in chaos and disorder, all due to the evil that lurks in its shadows and alleyways. But thanks to players like you, this city can become what is now known as the City of Heroes.
The need for new heroes in this city arises from an alien invasion that almost wiped out mankind. They used Paragon City as a base of operations, and only the Heroes, and even some Villains, could stop the attack. Many died, and the ranks of Heroes need to be replenished by the gamers of today. As a hero, the player gets to choose their origin and what role their powers will play. Then comes the look, which can be customized down to the minutest details, enabling players to create any comic book style character they want.
When the player enters the city, they will be tasked with protecting its streets from any type of crime imaginable. Petty crimes all the way up to world domination plots flood the grid work that is Paragon City. Of course, quests can be obtained from NPC's, sending players into the darkest corners of the city.
City of Heroes is one of the most unique MMORPG's that was shown on the floor. Players of good moral fiber will actually be able to rid the world of evil, alone or in a group. NCSoft is starting to make a reputation for itself in the Online world, thanks mostly in part to games like City of Heroes.
