As their name implies, Strategy First is all about the strategy games. Though they have many other games of different genres, their RTS titles are what they are known for. This time around, they have tasked the Bitmap Brothers, a studio with a well-known track record, to make a WWII tactical sim called WWII Frontline Command.
The year is 1944, and as the Allies prepare for an invasion of Normandy, you are given the opportunity to lead America's elite paratrooper divisions behind enemy lines. As a mission starts, you are given a set number of troops, and it is your task to lead them to victory. You may or may not receive reinforcements along the way, so every man in every squad counts.
Frontline Command features a unique Morale system, where units' confidence in battle varies depending on the decisions you make. Start losing a lot of guys and the rest may turn tail and run. However, take out an enemy bunker and then use it on German tanks and your troops are sure to fight better.
Frontline Command has the graphical power and gameplay depth to compete with top strategy games out there. The AI, even in this pre-release version, is adaptive and tricky. WWII buffs will definitely appreciate this game when it is released this summer.
