MadCatz had some interesting things to show this E3... some innovative products with the usual MadCatz flair...
The Lynx Wireless controller for the Xbox and PS2 features rubberized grips for comfort and a 2.4Mhz signal for range and signal strength. (Available in July 2003)
The Lumicon controller looks a bit gimmicky at first, with its built in LED lighting, but when you consider the pressure-sensitive fully analog action buttons, the macro capabilities, the rubberized grips and the braided cable, you start to realize that the Lumicon is not a controller to be taken 'light'ly... (available Summer/Fall 2003)
Retro Gamers out there will be glad to see MadCatz' new RetroCON - a NES-like controller for use with PlayStation (and PS2 and PSOne) systems. Now you can play those retro arcade collections the way you remember them.(Summer 2003)
MadCatz is also leaping into the HDTV arena, with some gaming products specifically supporting HDTV. Their HDTV Universal System Selector allows you to use your choice of up to four systems (PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, HDTV and DVD) to your component-ready TV. Then there's the MadCatz Blaster gun controller which, according to MadCatz, is currently the only true HDTV compatible gun for the Xbox. (Both should be currently available)
