FIRST LOOK:
LUCAS ARTS'
BATTLE FOR NABOO

I remember when Star Wars Rogue Squadron came out a while back and how excited I was that an arcade-action Star Wars game had come out with eye-popping graphics! Following in that tradition, LucasArts announced at this years E3 convention, the release of Star Wars Episode 1:Battle for Naboo for the Fall of 2000 for the Nintendo 64 platform.

You will assume the role of Lieutenant Gawyn Sykes, a young and dedicated Naboo soldier, fighting to defend his planet. To do so, you must fly many different vehicles, of course including the Naboo Starfighter, and even a few new vehicles. Nope, I won't spoil the surprise.

LucasArts expands on the Rogue Squadron model by offering not only air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, but you will also have ground-to-ground. There will also be the hidden power ups, weapons and secret vehicles. One thing that LucasArts has added to the Battle for Naboo is that is has a dynamic difficulty adjustment which will assure that all players regardless of their skill level will have a wonderful time playing the game. When a company does things like this for their customers, it makes me very willing to support their products. Good job, Lucas Arts!
