Crystal Dynamics announced the sequel to Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, their smash hit, at E3. Expected to be released in Q4 2000 for the PS2 (woo!), PC, and DC, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver II looks to be the completion of the saga that was only half-told in the first game. Raziel will travel through time to find out why Nosgoth is what it is and, of course, to kill Kain. The same mechanisms will be in the game -- warping between the spirit and 'real' world, weapons you can pick up, new spells and abilities, new enemies, and of course excellent-quality voice-overs as Kain tells us his story. The first one was enthralling; unless something goes terribly wrong, this one will be too.
