Do you have a Dreamcast, but you're not interested in getting a keyboard specifically for the DC? Same sad tale for your mouse? No worries, mate - ThrustMaster introduces their Converter Pack - a simple white box that allows you to use a PS/2 PC keyboard on your Dreamcast. It also allows you to use a PS/2 mouse with your Dreamcast, and has a standard two button mouse included in the package. The one drawback I can see of the system is that you cannot use the mouse and the keyboard simultaneously. There is a switch on the box to choose between keyboard and mouse. This means that some strategy games will be more fun, but Quake-like games may be a bit awkward without simultaneous use of the keyboard and mouse.Another product that looks perhaps even more interesting is the Snow Board. Compatible with PlayStation and PlayStation 2, this board allows for realistic and natural control of snowboarding games. It is of realistic size, and utilizes tilt sensors to sense your actual motion and translate it into acurate control of the game. There are two buttons located on the board (near the front and near the rear of the board) which are programmable to allow for customization for individual games, and a controller is used in conjunction with the board to control tricks. A 'companion' controller is currently under development that would be more suitable for using in conjunction with the Snow Board, yet would allow for tricks to be performed. Keep an eye out for extensive reviews of the full ThrustMaster line.
