Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 adds to the ever growing Dragon Ball Z fighting series. This time, the game will contain over 150 characters from the Dragon Ball universe (it's amazing how, even though the series has been over for years, they keep finding more people to add to the games) and a lot more action, speed and explosions.
Tenkaichi 3 will feature 30 battle arenas and 10 gameplay modes including Dragon History and Battle Replay Mode. Dragon History Mode will let you relive specific fights from the Dragon Ball Universe, while Battle Replay lets you record and save your favorite fights.
There are two major things to note about the Wii version of Tenkaichi 3. First off, the developers have heard our pleas and radically changed the control scheme. Issues like having to point your Wii-mote off the screen in certain directions while pressing odd button combinations just to pull off a move have gone away. That, plus the fact that there are easy to understand icons that will appear at the bottom of the screen to help you through the move you are working on means that many, if not all, of the control problems the previous version of this game faced will be eliminated. The other big news is that, because of the Wii's native online capabilities, DBZ will support online multiplayer capabilities for the first time. Yup, that's right, on the Wii version of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, you will be able to go online and face off against a friend in a versus match.
But PS2 owners don't fret, you have a few exclusives of your own. For one thing, this will be the last Tenkaichi game for the PS2, but if you happen to have the first two, you will be able to perform a "Disc Fusion" and unlock special features in 3. |
