After 6:00 PM, EIEIO 2008 became open to the public. It also became a party. Not just any party, mind you, but a Gamecock party. That means that there was alcohol, videogames, music acts and, not surprisingly, scantily clad women. This year, there were actually several Burlesque dancers hired to entertain the guests. The most beautiful, talented and downright ballsy of these had to be "Miss Maulie" Keebler. While some of the other dancers' acts tended to be more circus spectacle (bordering on freak-show, in some cases), Miss Maulie's acts were actually very tasteful and well-rehearsed. My favorite performance (of hers, and, for that matter, of the entire show) was her "Martini Time" show, which featured her dancing in a beautiful sequined gown, then stripping down to a martini-themed bikini (and later, pasties) and dancing in a larger-than-life martini glass to the accompaniment of Reverend Horton Heat's "Martini Time." |
