Gex's new ally, Agent Xtra is more than just a pretty... face.
Gex is back, and this time he's not alone! As a creative twist, Crystal Dynamics has found a way to give GEX 3 a chance at contending with such heavy guns as Lara Croft (TR) and Claire Redfield (RE) - and without putting Gex in a dress. (THANK GOD!-ed.) However, it seems that the Agent Xtra, played by Baywatch's Marliece Andrada is more than just window dressing in Gex 3. You interact with her throughout the game, and then wind up having to save her. One thing Agent Xtra has going for her is she's real... FMV... no polygons. We'll just have to see if this gives her an edge over Lara Croft or not - You know how the boys like their silicon (generated) women...
One novel feature of these FMV interludes is that they are not a completely separate part of the game. The seventeen or so FMVs take place (for instance) on Gex's special equipment video watch... in game. (This is similar to Apocalypse's treatment of videos from the soundtrack on screens throughout the game.)
