XSEED Games has great news for PSP owning role-playing fans. Fans of the (extremely) long-running Ys series will be thrilled to know that Ys SEVEN will be getting a Limited Collector's Edition. However, it doesn't stop there. XSEED is also offering Ys fans a chance at immortality... in the game itself.

As expected, the Limited Collector's Edition of Ys SEVEN will include some official swag. First is the game's official soundtrack, which boasts over twenty songs. Second is a sixty-page book containing artwork from several chapters in the Ys saga, including The Oath in Felghana and I & II Chronicles. Gamers who purchase the Limited Collector's Edition will also receive a 12.5" by 34" cloth map of the world of Ys.

XSEED has also announced a "Name in Game" promotion for Ys SEVEN. Those who visit the Facebook link below and become a fan of the official Ys fanpage will be automatically entered for a chance at one of fourteen spots. The lucky fourteen who win will find themselves immortalized in Ys SEVEN as a quest-giver. If you're interested in this contest, know that you only have about a week until the winners are picked.
