Alpha 64 Controller |
Score: 100%
Developer: Nyko
Device Type: Controller

Function:If you are familiar with the PlayStation controllers, you should have almost no problem adjusting to the Alpha 64 because it is set up like a PlayStation Dual Shock Controller - your thumbs control the analogs, there is a standard D-pad on the left, and there is a grouping of buttons on the right (except the Alpha 64 has six buttons, as opposed to four on the Sony controller). There are also dual Z buttons on the Alpha 64. |
| Performance:I found the Alpha 64 Controller very easy to control - the dual analog stems are easily reachable with your thumbs, and the three-over-three button layout is much better than the standard Nintendo 64 1st Party Controller. Plus, all six buttons are the same size, although the buttons seemed to be a little less responsive than that of the 1st Party Nintendo Controller. |
|
Features:
- All the Features of the 1st Party Nintendo Controller
- Second Analog Controller (for dual side-by-side analog grouping)
- Slow Motion Control
- Turbo Control
- Extra Z Button (for dual Z Button control)

|
Drawbacks & Problems::The only problem I had with the Alpha 64 Controller was that I didn?t like the "feel" of the buttons, like they weren?t as responsive as some other controllers. I also suspect that the controller might be hard for children to hold based on its size, but I don?t consider that a fault and I?m not scoring against it for that; just making a note. |
