When musical stardom is proffered to people that have only a bit more talent than the average citizen (think American Idol or Making the Band), it becomes difficult for the average citizen to recognize real talent. "Hey, anybody can be a rock star, right?" Wrong. The reason that shows like Idol are not geared toward the pre-Teen set is that kids can sniff out a duffer like cats finding a litter box. Kids may not know a lot about music, but they won't stand for anything short of real entertainment. Whatever you may think about Imagination Movers from a musical perspective, there's no denying they are genuinely entertaining.

Imagination Movers take a unique approach to translating their staged show to the small screen. Instead of focusing on special effects and music-video style production, Imagination Movers: Warehouse Mouse Edition stresses more character interaction and funny skits. The music just punctuates the action during each episode, and every member of the Imagination Movers does some singing, dancing, rapping, and instrumental work before the DVD is complete. It's easy to be impressed knowing that the four guys in the group have created and performed everything here. That's what real talent looks like, by the way...

The big idea behind Imagination Movers is that the guys are creative and active, which are two qualities that kids have in spades, but that isn't always nurtured. Kids have incredible abilities to imagine entire worlds, much less come up with fun solutions to life's problems. We all could use a dose of imagination rather than just relying on our industrious and diligent qualities, and the Imagination Movers are like a shot in the arm for creativity. These guys never meet a problem they can't solve with a dose of fun, positive energy and brainstorming. Examples would be helping their television repair guy get over his fear of mice ("Whose [sic] Afraid of the Big Bad Mouse"), or trying to capture an elusive mouse in need of a trip to the dentist ("Tooth Hurts"), or thinking of one million ways to remove a bucket from Mover Rich's foot ("Bucket Trouble").

Kids will love Imagination Movers: Warehouse Mouse Edition whether they are new or seasoned viewers of the show. A bonus Special Agent Oso episode is also contained on the DVD, which is a nice Extra. Musical, fun, bright, colorful and positive energy is what Imagination Movers are all about. Parents will love that the songs lean more toward the They Might Be Giants kids-music side of the spectrum than saccharine fare like The Wiggles. This is a winning formula from four guys with a lot of talent, that happen to also be incredibly entertaining. Highly recommended.
