Considered by a lot of people to be one of the worst (if not the absolute worst) movie of all time, at least Troll 2 is quite well known! If there's really no such thing as bad publicity, then Troll 2 is set for all the publicity it could ever want. Just to give you an idea, Troll 2 is #64 in the "Bottom 100" on IMDb.com.

Troll 2: The 20th Anniversary Nilbog Edition opens with the Grandpa Seth (Robert Ormsby) telling his grandson Joshua (Michael Stephenson) about the goblins and how they trick humans and turn them into food. Joshua should know what's going on pretty quickly in the adventures to come! When his mom Diana (Margo Prey) comes in and turns on the light though, Grandpa has disappeared. His Grandpa died six months ago, but Joshua can still see him and talk to him. Joshua's sister Holly (Connie McFarland) is working out in her room during Josh and Grandpa's chat. Her boyfriend Elliott (Jason Wright) is also in her room after having snuck in. She wants him to come with them on the family vacation that they're leaving for in the morning, without his friends that he's always attached to and he agrees to meet them in the morning.

That next morning, Josh, Holly, Diana, and the dad, Michael (George Hardy) take off for Nilbog, a town of only 26 people. The family is to "exchange" with a family from Nilbog for a month. Of course, Elliott did not make it to the house on time as he couldn't manage to leave his friends. Instead, he and his friends Arnold (Darren Ewing), Drew (Jason Steadman), and Brent (David McConnell) take an RV and head to Nilbog on their own. Of course, they also fail to stock up the fridge, which makes for a very unpleasant trip. See, the town of Nilbog is filled with goblins (Nilbog is Goblin backwards). These goblins are vegetarians, but their favorite treat is a human that has been turned into a plant and they turn them into plants by feeding them this green goo. You'd think these people would realize that something is wrong with food that's that color, but Josh is the only one who knows there's a problem with it. He has to keep his family from eating the food and convince them to leave the town before they're all goblin-food.

As far as my vision could see, there really wasn't any quality difference between the Blu-ray and the DVD, so it really doesn't matter which one you watch. The audio should have been different as the Blu-ray is surround sound and the DVD is only mono, but I couldn't hear a difference either, and usually the difference is very obvious. There aren't any additional features on either the DVD or the Blu-ray disc, but that's probably a good thing. The acting is so bad in the movie that I'm really not sure I'd want to see anything other than the Bloopers. Those would probably be quite amusing though! I can't really recommend that everyone needs to see Troll 2. It really is one of the worst movies of all time. But that does make it quite amusing to watch as well. If you're looking for a really bad movie, go pick up Troll 2 today!
