Hey Arnold! Season Two, Part 2 contains the last 10 episodes of this season, and those adventures start off with Arnold’s best friend, Gerald, deciding to answer an ad in a magazine that will have him selling watches to his friends and neighbors. When Gerald quickly sells his first round of stock, the company that makes the watches decides to put him on a shipment schedule that forces more and more boxes on him every week.

At first, Gerald is able to keep up with the flow, but once he has sold a watch to every person in the area, he finds the overly saturated market a hard one to continue working in. It turns out that the man behind the watch company has a problem with kids and bases his whole business model on getting the kids in over their heads and having their parents bail them out. What he didn’t count on was a clever plot cooked up by Arnold and Gerald to teach the man a lesson.

The collection continues with Arnold’s Grandpa recounting a major Chinese Checkers tournament he almost won, and when the top player runs into Grandpa again, Arnold has to convince his grandfather that he should compete in a new tournament and get over his fear of losing.

This season also has an episode where Helga and her Dad end up on vacation at the same time and Helga’s mom decides that she needs to get away for a time. At first, Helga and Big Bob don’t play all that nicely together and Big Bob goes for quantity time over quality time. The question is, will the pair survive the vacation?

This collection also shows a darker side to Phoebe when she gets Hall Monitor duties and goes a bit drunk with power. It also contains an episode focusing on Harold’s Bar Mizvah and another where Eugene learns that his TV hero, and moral compass, is just an actor. As a result, Eugene tries to become a bad kid.

While there are a lot of episodes in this collection that feature Arnold’s friends and classmates, there are also a good bit where Arnold is the central character. In this collection, Arnold designs a parade float, develops a crush on a substitute teacher, and even learns that the Sunset Arms might be haunted.

While there aren’t any special features on Hey Arnold! Season Two, Part 2, it does have a lot of good episodes that any kid should enjoy, and no parent should have a problem with their children watching. Heck, most of the parents that would be getting this DVD were kids when it first aired. As a whole, Hey Arnold! is a great show, and these episodes are prime examples of why that is.
