Hot Brain Presents the Logic and Math Categries

Company: Midway
Product: Hot Brain

How many times have you been at a dinner party when some egghead keeps ranting about his IQ and SAT scores? Well now, instead of punching him in the head, take the high road and challenge him to a game of Hot Brain. The red-hot minds at Midway think about these problems and are here to help.

Midway has released six new game descriptions and screen shots for Hot Brain, the mind-bending, brain training game that will be available exclusively for PSP this summer.

Over the next few weeks, they will be releasing more information about each of the different exercises designed to help raise your brain temperature.

Logic Category

These brain bending games force the player to use deductive reasoning. Think two steps ahead to excel and warm the brain in the Logic category. But you probably already figured we were going to say that...

Sequencer

Shapes, lines and shades are used to form a fragment of a sequence. The player must think hard to complete the problem by choosing the next appropriate element. Stay focused, because the more complex the sequence, the tougher it gets!

Shape Logic

In this geometry gone crazy game, the player will see several shapes: one initial shape and others that are either added or subtracted to the initial shape. The player must guess the correct outcome of the shape math problem.

Back Seat Driver

Taxi! A taxicab is placed somewhere within the city grid. Four places on the grid are marked with button icons - and passengers waiting to be picked up! Looking at the blue directional arrows that appear at the top of the screen, the player must figure out where the cab will stop.

Math Category

Hot Brain crunches numbers in a way that high school math teachers probably would not approve. Each game brings a different fun approach to the dreaded subject.

High and Low

The player is shown four simple math equations. The player must then place the solutions of the equations in either descending or ascending order. Everyone knows three is less than four, but how quickly can you determine if the sum of three and four is greater than the difference between nine and three?

Cruise Ship

Passengers begin to board and exit a ship. Then some leave. Then some board again while others leave! Hopefully you were paying attention, because now you must correctly pick how many are staying on board for the three-hour tour!

Equation Sensation

Simple math equations are turned upside down in this game. Instead of figuring out the correct answer, the player must figure out which sign goes in place of the question mark. The complexity of the challenge can vary with the length of the equation.
