I previewed a beta of this title about a year and a half ago and really enjoyed it. I was pleased to see that the final version is even better, and although it has changed a good bit, still retains the same feel that I remember. The storyline has changed though, and instead of Jackie chasing a murderer on his movie set, he is a delivery boy for his grandfather's company. Grandpa gets kidnapped by the requisite bad guys, and it's Jackie to the rescue, of course. Levels include Chinatown, Waterfront, Sewer, Rooftops and Factory and provide a good setting for the game. They are all designed to allow Jackie to show off his crazy moves and will have you running from trains and trucks, balancing on top of a variety of things (moving and not), jumping up walls and on top of them, etc. It's great fun, any way you look at it.
Jackie will spend his time running through the levels with a constant barrage of enemies jumping in his way. Of course, as luck would have it, there usually seems to be a fish or a pot or a broom, etc to pick up and smack someone with - in grand Jackie style, no less. There is a life meter for each enemy you encounter, and I liked this little feature as it gets crowded on screen at times and that way I can judge who is going to die next. All in all, great arcade-y style fighting fun.
