Redline! My whole review could most efficiently be summed up in those words. Your character is sent on a variety of missions which involve elements of First Person Shooters and Driving-Combat games. You will be treated to cut-scenes which will instruct you on your mission objectives. Missions usually begin with some kind of vehicular combat which, when finished, can be followed up by exiting your vehicle and accomplishing the rest on foot. A fully customizable controller interface will give you options for various combinations of joystick, keyboard, or mouse.
The gameplay in Redline’s First Person Shooter format is quite familiar, and most every gamer will have mastered the skills needed in either Quake or Unreal. The Driving-Combat is a little more difficult in that a successful player will have to master the “Powerslide.” This maneuver is accomplished by building up sufficient speed to skid the vehicle and perform a 360 degree direction reversal so as to quickly orient your offensive weapons at a pursuer.
