An avid fan of first person shooters (
Unreal,
Quake,
Half-Life) I, d0gsb0dy, began this assignment with little enthusiasm, thinking the game would be a slow-pulse test of nerves and endurance. Surprisingly, though, after playing several scenarios and a campaign, I can safely say I have a new way to test the limits of my insomnia tendencies. No caffeine needed here as plenty of adrenaline will be on hand courtesy of the blisteringly intense gameplay when in the First Person Combat Mode. You are a gunner/pilot in the Wraith Corps. A Wraith is a fast, maneuverable, heavily armed hover-tank. You are tasked with destroying the offensive capability of several races of aliens that have threatened the New Alliance (Humans).
Step 1: Establishing a base of operations is the first step. Do this by setting up defenses and beginning production of offensive war machines.
Step 2: Now, scout out your enemy with drones. When found, attack him, take his territory and repeat Step One until the game A.I. says you win.
Did I say A.I? You bet I did! The game’s A.I. is my savior as I am not much of a strategist or manager. It helps you by making suggestions at appropriate times which are activated by a “hot key.” Just press the key when suggested and live longer.
