The Hangmen: Lost Rocks is a collection put out by Acetate Records of their various releases that include "Loteria" and "In The City." If you're into the early college sound of the 80's, this should be a good pick. The album catches their great style of rock 'n' roll along with three unreleased demos. Liner notes include other bands' praises of The Hangman's on-stage energy; The Supersuckers' Eddie Spaghetti confessed that their "minds were officially blown" by the group's performance and The Circle Jerks and Social Distortion, also part of the 80's underground scene, also submit their feedback.
Tracks "Blood Red" and "Desperation Town" are terrific for driving or partying down. "I Wanna Be Loved" is right up there with the alternative sound of 2011, and you could easily mistake it for something from The Glitterati or The Vines. Whether you are a long time fan or just discovering The Hangmen, you will enjoy all 58 minutes of the adrenaline that is Lost Rocks.
