PS/2 Mouse for PCs
Score: 90%
Developer: Mad Catz
Device Type: Controller

Function:

The Mad Catz Mouse for PCs is a simple, two-button mouse, but it is a very nice two button mouse. If you?re looking for scroll wheels, three buttons, gimmicks or gadgets, this is not the mouse for you. If, however, you want a PS/2 mouse that is nicely designed, feels good in the hand, has crisp tactile feedback, and smooth control, then the Mad Catz mouse fits the bill. Mad Catz makes a wide range of input devices, but I find myself especially enamored with their mice. (Their PlayStation compatible mouse is also a high quality product.) As of this review, I have switched to this mouse as my current pointing device.

Performance:

There is no learning curve for this mouse. If you have used a mouse before, simply install this mouse and marvel at its excellent functionality.

Installation of the Mad Catz PS/2 Mouse for PCs was a breeze on both systems. Turn off the system, plug in the mouse, and boot up the computer. Both Win98 and Win95 automatically detected the mouse and took care of the setup. All that was required on my part was clicking ?Yes? to restarting the computer a couple of times. In addition, a disk with drivers is included in the package.

Drawbacks & Problems::

No problems found. Excellent design and construction. The Mad Catz PS/2 Mouse for PCs is my new current pointing device.
