As far as cases go, the
PSP Aluminum Case does a great job at offering protection from some of the bigger bumps your PSP might take while on the go. It won’t survive more extreme hazards such as tumbles down stairs, drops from high places or crushing blows, though it still protects from things that would likely cause the system to break.
The case is lightweight, yet durable. The inside is lined with a thin padding that allows the system to fit into the case snuggly, and gives a little more padding in case of impact. I was surprised with how well the snap-top lid held since, at first glance, it doesn’t look like much.
Several spots are cut out of the case, allowing you to play the system without having to remove it from the case. At first I didn’t think I’d like this, though I actually found the PSP more comfortable to play while in the case. When I first tried playing with the case, the hanging portion of the case was annoying. Eventually I placed the hanging porting between my palms and found that it made playing the PSP much more comfortable – especially in games requiring the analog nub.
