Don't Just Search... Search and RESCUE... |
| |

If you're like me, you do a lot of online searches. I do several per day. Personally, I'm a Googler. If I have a gaming question, I Google it. If I have a health question, I Google it. Need to plan a vacation? I use Google maps. I've tried Microsoft's Live search from time to time, and I'll try other search engines when they make the news... just to check them out... but I love my Google results.

However, I just saw an advertisement for Dogpile.com that got my attention. For the entire year of 2009, they are donating a portion of their revenue to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA(r)) to help rescue pets that are treated cruelly or abandoned. I have seen some of these "Rescue" animals at my local PetSmart and Cyn (one of our reviewers) and her sister are active in taking care of these animals. This is a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of several of us here at GameVortex.

I'm not asking anyone to make a switch. All I'm asking is that people try out Dogpile.com and see how it works for them. According to the page about this promotion:
Dogpile.com is one of Infospace's metasearch engines that returns highly relevant results from all major search engines, including
Google, Yahoo, MSN Live Search and Ask.com. For each of the past two years, Dogpile.com has been ranked No. 1 search engine in the J. D. Powers and Associates Residential Online Service Customer Satisfaction Study. Dogpile was commended for its ease of use, high functionality and quick, comprehensive results.

You get your Google results, your Yahoo results, your MSN Live Search results and your Ask.com results, all in a single search - and you help dogs and cats in dire need of your rescue - all from the comfort of your home computer, game console or mobile phone... and without paying a cent out of your own pocket.
