Elderscrolls II: Daggerfall Now Free
Company: Bethesda Softworks
Product: Elderscrolls II: Daggerfall
What is it with retro releases this week? After LucasArt's massive Steam announcement and the impending release of MechWarrior 4, Bethesda is getting in on the act with The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall.

Starting now, you can head on over to Bethesda's website and snag a copy of the game for free. However, there's a bit of a catch - it won't run on your computer without a little help. The game was originally released in 1996, so it requires a DOS emulator to run. Thankfully, the good folks at Bethesda aren't leaving players out in the cold and have also included a freeware DOS emulator, DOSBox, and instructions on how to get everything set up. It's a bit of work, but hey - it's free.
