Take a Look Behind the Magic
Company: Walt Disney Home Entertainment
Product: Disney DVDs
Whether it's in film, animation or entertainment in general, the Walt Disney Company has one of the industry's most storied histories. However, it's a history that, at least to most, has remained hidden in the shadows - until now.

Later this year, Disney is pulling back the curtain on the magic with the release of three DVDs touching on the music, artistry and the man himself.

"The Sherman Brothers" is a name that probably won't set off a light bulb with most Disney fans, but their tunes will. "A Spoonful of Sugar" and "I Want To Be Like You" are songs that have defined many a childhood. Featuring interviews with Roy E. Disney, Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury, The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story offers a behind the scenes look at the lives of Richard and Robert Sherman and their musical legacy.

Speaking of legacy, few would argue Disney's place as one of the world's top animation houses. However, there was a time when the animation company was at its lowest point. Waking Sleeping Beauty is a once in a lifetime look at the drama, conflict and tension that eventually lead to the company's second Golden Age, which included The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.

Any look at Disney's history wouldn't be complete without a look at Walt's adventures. Walt & El Grupo follows Disney's time as a cultural ambassador to South America. Along with a hand-picked set of artists (the "El Grupo"), Disney helped bring goodwill to South America as well as serving as the inspiration for The Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos.

All three DVDs offer an insider's look at the studio's history and include rare footage of Walt as well as bonus material, taking you deeper into the stories. As an added bonus, if you buy all three by November 29, you'll receive three collectable 8 x 10 lithographs.
