You Know You Wanna Be a Rock Star!!
Company: EA Games
Product: The Sims 3: Showtime
In the previous versions of The Sims, you could choose to be a musician as your career path, but you never actually saw any of your own performances. The new The Sims 3: Showtime Expansion Pack aims to change that and add much more. In this expanded world, you can choose to become a singer, acrobat, or a magician (and let's face it, this is the only way most of us are ever going to perform these jobs, especially the acrobat!). There are also new traits and lifetime wishes as well. As all of these professions, you can now create your own arena and finally watch your Sims performances. Let's just hope that you fare better in-game than you would in real life! It's going to be a lot of fun testing out these new professions, especially in the new world of Starlight Shores where you have new venues and objects to help you in your new professions.

We've all been addicted to The Sims over the years at some point, but there's always been something missing: social interaction. Yes, we all have created our friends and family in the game and love the fact that we can make them do whatever we want inside our game, but in the end, you have to take a break and have some real human interaction. Now though, in The Sims 3: Showtime Expansion Pack, there will be no need to leave our computers to get the human aspect that we need. There is a new feature called SimPort which will let you send your Sims over to a friends' town which means that your new Rock Star persona can tour all your friends' towns and they can even review the performance. If you do this, you will also unlock "exclusive content." I have no clue what that is yet, but I can't wait to find out! There are also quite a few more social features in the game. You can use Twitter and Facebook to post updates about what your Sims are up to. Of course, this does mean that you might want to not use the name of your crush and post that your Sims got married, unless you want them to know how you really feel!

Stay tuned for a full review in the upcoming weeks as The Sims 3: Showtime pack releases on March 6, 2012.
