King Kong: A Game of Monstrous Proportions

Michel Ancel and Montpellier, a Ubisoft dev team known for Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil is working with Peter Jackson (Director of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) to develop the official game for his new movie, King Kong.

Montpellier will be teaming up with WETA Ltd., the graphics shop responsible for many of the dazzling effects found in movies like I, Robot, Van Helsing and of course the LOTR series. This combination of innovative game developers and award winning visual story tellers should make the action game King Kong something to go ape over.

King Kong is expected to be released with a Teen rating and will extend the movie's point-of-view by allowing the gamers to play through alternate viewpoints and get a better look at the overall story. The game will feature Custom Soundtracks, Dolby 5.1 Surround and be Xbox Live Aware. Look for the game to hit the streets on November 22nd and the movie premiere on December 14th.
