Bridge IT: Bridgin' tha Gap...
Company: Auran

Sure, blowing up ninjas and torching aliens may be fun, but even the simplest to things can be exciting, things like... I don't know -- building bridges? At least, this is the theory behind Bridge IT, an addictive new puzzle game from Auran and NVIDIA.

Bridge IT places you in the role of an engineer charged with building a bridge. After being presented with a gorge, canyon or river, it's your job to build a bridge by strategically placing girders and supports. Once you think you've completed the puzzle, you just have to press 'Simulate' to see if your vision holds up (literally). One of the core technologies behind this is Bridge IT's advanced physics engine that accounts for weight and other environmental hazards. This will come into play in later levels where you not only have to build a bridge that supports normal wear and tear, but can also stand up to earthquakes and other hazards. The game will even include aspects like drawbridges to let boats pass. In addition to scoring players on their bridge design, players will also be rewarded for staying under budget.

Bridge IT will take full advantage of the latest NVIDIA GeForce FX hardware, offering new levels of graphical quality. Each of the game's environments will feature real-time reflections and shadows, as well as day-night cycles and heat-haze effects. These nice touches look to give life to the game's already impressive looking worlds.

Initial releases of Bridge IT will be offered on Auran's website with retail releases to follow.
