Beam Breakers: Cosmic Pizza Delivery?

Beam Breakers, developed by simils, and slated to be published by JoWood Productions this September, is an interesting twist on the first person space racing game genre. Boasting a mission based real-time environment, with both single and multi-player game play, the game has full support for the latest 3D hardware, and includes several modes of play.

Types of game play include Survival Play, Competition Mode, and Observation Mode. The game includes 30 distinct vehicles in five different vehicle classes, and has a 57 mission campaign, as well as a tutorial.

Multiplayer mode has support for six players, and in both single and multi-player mode, swarms of traffic fill the airways, and provide a level of challenge and realism not often seen in space racing games. Combined with the high quality graphics, the game offers an immersive world.

Besides competing in races, you can also deliver pizzas in Beam Breakers. Definitely a new twist in this genre of game, it does add an extra dimension to the game play, rounding out what looks to be a fun new game. Although the traffic seemed static in the version we looked at, the graphics were quite impressive, and the racing was interesting.
