Incoming Forces: Incoming! Forces, that is...
Company: Groove Games

A follow-up to Rage Software's Incoming, Incoming Forces is a great-looking game that takes advantage of a number of the powerful capabilities of the latest generation of graphics cards, including layered terrain textures, particle-based explosions, and reflective rippling water. It provides both single and multi-player action, and includes full Internet and LAN support.

The game engine can smoothly zoom all the way down to the foot soldiers on the battlefield, which boast thousands of polygons and cast soft shadows in real-time. The engine also gracefully scales the graphics down for graphics cards with less impressive abilities. Incoming Forces has a state-of-the-art physics engine, which allows life-like motion of objects and weather effects.

The action-shooter boasts fast-paced sci-fi gameplay. Incoming Forces takes place twenty years after the first game, and you now take the role of the aliens. It offers many playable vehicles, including tanks, and aircraft, which include fighters, gunships, bombers, and more. You can also man your base's defenses in any of the ten levels, which span across four alien worlds, and provide multiple story-based objectives. There'll be opportunity to not only defend your bases from human attacks, but also strike back on your own offensives.

All in all, Incoming Forces is looking like an excellent follow-up to the previous game. It graphics are top-notch, and its gameplay is compelling. Hopefully Rage Software and Groove Games will deliver on their promises.
