Except for a few articles, little research is available for specific details, so it seems The Neomythics are completely new to the rock media. But I can tell you that the collaboration between Howe and Montgomery show their teeth in this new release, and they have what it takes to make it in industrial rock, if not the mainstream. Howe's vocals and lyrics are loud and convincing enough to take the music seriously.
Since the early 90's, rock music has been geared directly toward alternative and indie-based bands, and although not much has changed, The Neomythics prove that stepping out of the formula -- like many bands have done lately -- is necessary to win over an audience. Their sound is very garage-inspired, with a little classic rock in the mix. Harvey Mandel, professional guitarist and one-time candidate for the Rolling Stones, does a solo on one of the tracks.
Neomystics: New Corporate Resistance is something of an acceptable rock album by a couple of guys taking a chance. Try out an MP3 or two and see if you agree -- not a big gamble. Like any band out of the cocoon, they need feedback and I've tried to do that with this review.
